Ingredients:

12 oz (340g) pasta (such as penne, rigatoni, or fusilli)
1 lb (450g) ground beef or minced meat of your choice
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 cup tomato sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1 cup ricotta cheese
Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish).

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
Cook the Pasta:
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Meat Sauce:
In a large skillet or saucepan, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
