The Dangers of Leaving Chargers Plugged In

When your gadgets are finished charging, do you usually keep the chargers connected? Consider carefully if you want to proceed with it. You may not be aware of all the dangers that come with this behavior. Come on, let’s examine them closely.

Constant Current Drain
It may come as a surprise, but chargers still use a little power even when they’re not actively charging. Though it may not seem like much at first, this standby power use may build up. Your energy usage will increase due to the constant pulling of power from your chargers.

Heat exhaustion
Chargers may overheat if left plugged in for long periods of time. Capacitors and other internal components might deteriorate from the continual heat, reducing the charger’s lifetime. The second potential danger is that chargers, if they overheat, might cause a fire.
