In a shocking turn of events, Doherty made the heartbreaking announcement that her battle with cancer had taken a devastating toll on her, spreading to her brain. The actress shared a heartfelt announcement on June 7 through a video posted on Instagram.
In the video, which was recorded on January 12, 2023, Doherty can be observed undergoing radiation treatment.
«On January 5th, my CT scan revealed the presence of metastases in my brain,» she shared. On January 12, the initial round of radiation was administered.
“My fear is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life. I feel incredibly lucky to have such exceptional medical professionals, like Dr. Amin Mirahdi, and the incredible technicians at Cedar Sinai. This is what cancer can look like — the fear, the turmoil, the timing of it all.
