My Mother Lied to Her Family for Years About Me, but During a Family Gathering, She Met Her Karma

The woman expresses her disbelief at the outrageous lies told by her mom. She wrote, «For those four years, my mom kept lying about me. I gained weight, I didn’t have a job, I was homeless, I tried to break into her house several times, I had hurt her feelings, etc.»

The woman shares her story, describing a recent family event that left a lasting impact on her and taught her mother an important lesson. In her writing, she mentioned that her grandfather recently contacted her and informed her about a virtual family reunion happening in January. He encouraged her to participate and prove everyone wrong.

The conflict began right away. «That’s when I said no, this is me for three years, all the news you were getting about me was from the woman, who, like many of you, I haven’t talked to in years. This woman lied, she has put me down her whole life, and she still does it because that’s all she can do.»

As the woman continues her story, she recalls the moment her boyfriend casually strolled into the kitchen, causing quite a commotion among everyone present. To add to the excitement, she mentions how her boyfriend nonchalantly waved in the background. «My mom literally had a death stare going on.”

Later, the woman said, «My cousin told me that her mom told her that my mom had a full-on meltdown because I had the nerve to sit there and be all smug. She said I should have stayed away because now there are problems in the family, and it’s my fault.»
