Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Make the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the dry cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until smooth and well-combined. Pat the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  3. Make the gooey layer: In a separate large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the beaten eggs and beat for a couple of minutes. Gradually add the powdered sugar and beat until well-combined.
  4. Assemble: Pour the gooey layer evenly over the prepared crust.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until done. Do not overbake.
  6. Cool: Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
