“I had this casserole at a friend’s party and I begged for the recipe!! Don’t tell anyone but this is better than my moms.”

Ingredient

Ground beef
1 pound

Onion, diced
1/2 cup

Garlic, minced
2 cloves

Marinara sauce
1 can (24 ounces)

Crushed tomatoes
1 can (15 ounces)

Dried basil
1 teaspoon

Dried oregano
1 teaspoon

Salt
To taste

Black pepper
To taste

Ingredients for Cheese Filling:

Cream cheese, softened
8 ounces

Sour cream
1/4 cup

Mozzarella cheese, grated
1/2 cup

Cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 cup

Fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup

Salt
To taste

Black pepper
To taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine cooked spaghetti with melted butter and Parmesan cheese. Toss to coat.
  3. Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain excess fat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened. Stir in marinara sauce, crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10-15 minutes.
  4. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, cheddar, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Spread half of spaghetti mixture in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with cheese filling, then remaining spaghetti. Pour meat sauce over top.
  6. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for 15-20 minutes more, or until bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
