3/4 teaspoon maple extract
2 cups coarsely chopped pecans plus 1/2 cup pecan halves for topping

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Prepare pie crust based on this recipe.
2. In a large sauté pan, melt butter with monkfruit sweetener until dark golden.
3. Add cream and salt, simmer until thick and caramel-like.
4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and maple extracts.
