Delicious Crock Pot Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham: A Family Favorite

  1. Prepare the Ham:
    • Take the spiral-cut ham and remove it from its packaging.
    • Place the ham flat side down in the slow cooker, ensuring it fits snugly. A 7-10 pound ham usually works well for most standard slow cookers.
  2. Mix the Glaze:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup of honey and 1 cup of brown sugar until you achieve a smooth, cohesive mixture.
  3. Apply the Glaze:
    • Brush the honey and brown sugar mixture over the entire surface of the ham, ensuring it seeps into the slices evenly.
  4. Add the Pineapple:
    • Arrange the pineapple slices or chunks around and on top of the ham in the slow cooker.
    • Pour the juice from the pineapple can over the ham to infuse it with flavor during cooking.
  5. Cook on Low:
    • Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 4-5 hours. This allows the ham to be heated through and take on the flavors of the glaze and pineapple.
  6. Serving:
    • Once cooked, let the ham rest for a few minutes before transferring it to a serving platter.
    • Spoon the cooking juices over the ham before serving to enhance its moistness and flavor.
