Creamy Almond Cake

Ingredients

**For the Cake:**

– 1 cup milk
– 1/4 cup sugar
– 2 tbsp cornstarch
– 2 large egg yolks
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/4 cup almond paste (optional for extra almond flavor)

**For the Topping:**
– 1/2 cup sliced almonds
– Powdered sugar for dusting.
