For the topping, melt 100 g of chocolate in a bain-marie and cover the cake. Leave to cool before eating.

Mistakes to avoid:
Not respecting the proportions:
One of the most common mistakes when making a chocolate marble cake is not respecting the proportions of the ingredients. Each ingredient plays a crucial role in the consistency and flavor of the cake. If you do not follow the quantities indicated in the recipe, you risk obtaining a cake that is too dry, too dense or with an unbalanced flavor.

Not mixing the batters properly:
Make sure you mix the chocolate and dark batters well until you get an even marbling. If you don’t mix enough, the marble pattern won’t be well defined. Be careful not to overmix, though, as this can make the cake lose its consistency and lightness.

Alternatives to ingredients:

Brown Sugar Substitute:
If you don’t have brown sugar on hand, you can substitute white or brown sugar. However, keep in mind that brown sugar adds a slightly moist texture and a light caramel flavor to the cake that you might not get with substitutes.
