Cake made with homemade caramel

This recipe for Southern Caramel Cake has layers of homemade moist yellow cake with a delicious thick caramel icing made from scratch! It’s tasty and perfect for any celebration!

2 cups and 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, sifted, plus extra flour for dusting the cake trays.

Salt: 1/4 tsp

Sugar: 2 cups

Butter: 2 sticks (no salt)

Water: 1 cup

Soda: 1 tsp

Milk: 1/2 cup

Egg: 2 (big)

Vanilla: 1 tsp

Lotion:

Sugar: 3 cups (regular sugar)

Butter: 1 stick

1 cup of heavy cream

a little bit of salt

Vanilla: 2 teaspoons
