Skin Tag Removal with Apple Cider Vinegar

Using apple cider vinegar (ACV) for skin tag removal is a popular home remedy, valued for its acidic properties that can help break down the tissue forming the skin tags, leading to their eventual fall-off. While many people report success with this method, it’s important to proceed with caution and consider professional advice for the best results. Here’s how you can safely use apple cider vinegar to remove skin tags:

How to Use Apple Cider Vinegar for Skin Tag Removal:

  1. Clean the Area:
    • Thoroughly clean the skin around the skin tag with mild soap and warm water. Pat dry.
  2. Protect Surrounding Skin:
    • Apply petroleum jelly or a thick moisturizer around the skin tag to protect the surrounding skin from the acidity of the vinegar.
  3. Apply Apple Cider Vinegar:
    • Soak a small piece of cotton ball in apple cider vinegar. Squeeze out excess vinegar to avoid dripping.
    • Place the vinegar-soaked cotton on the skin tag and secure it with a bandage.
  4. Leave it On:
    • Leave the cotton ball on the skin tag for up to 3 hours. Monitor the area for any irritation or discomfort. If any severe irritation occurs, remove immediately.
  5. Repeat:
    • Remove the cotton ball after the time is up. Rinse the area with water.
    • Repeat this process daily for a few days up to a week. Over time, the skin tag should darken, dry up, and eventually fall off.
