This hearty and flavorful ground beef chow mein casserole is a satisfying and easy-to-make meal. With a combination of tender beef, crunchy vegetables, and creamy sauce, it’s a crowd-pleaser that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients:

Ginger, freshly grated

Carrots, julienned

Cabbage, thinly sliced

8 ounces

Cooked Chow Mein noodles or spaghetti
8 ounces

Soy sauce
3 tablespoons

Oyster sauce (optional)
1 tablespoon

Sesame oil
1 teaspoon

Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons

Beef broth
1 cup

Cornstarch
1 tablespoon

Cheddar cheese, grated (optional)
1 cup

Salt and pepper
To taste

Green onions or chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook ground beef: In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add vegetables: Add onion, garlic, ginger, celery, carrots, cabbage, and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until tender-crisp.
  4. Make sauce: Whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch in a small bowl. Pour over the beef and vegetables.
  5. Combine noodles: Gently toss cooked noodles into the skillet.
  6. Transfer to baking dish: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  7. Top with cheese (optional): If desired, top with grated cheddar cheese.
