Nutella-Filled Croissants Recipe

Nutella-Filled Croissants Recipe

Ingredients:

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
1/2 cup Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread
1 egg (beaten for egg wash)
1/4 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Powdered sugar for dusting.

Instructions:

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Puff Pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
Cut the puff pastry into triangles. You can usually get 6-8 triangles from one sheet.
Fill the Croissants:
Place a teaspoon of Nutella at the wide end of each triangle.
Roll up the triangles, starting from the wide end and rolling towards the point. Curve the ends slightly to form a crescent shape.
Egg Wash:
Place the croissants on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the croissants with the beaten egg to give them a glossy finish.
Bake the Croissants:
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and puffed up.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on a wire rack.
Add the Finishing Touches:
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the warm croissants.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Enjoy your Nutella-filled croissants with a caramel drizzle and powdered sugar dusting. They are perfect for a special breakfast treat or a delightful dessert!
