Homemade Crunch Wrap Supreme

There are few things as satisfying as creating a beloved fast-food favorite in the comfort of your own kitchen. Homemade Crunch Wrap Supreme embodies the essence of this comfort, delivering all the layers of flavor and texture that make the original so irresistible—while offering the joy and satisfaction of homemade cooking. This dish is more than just a meal; it’s an experience, one that transforms everyday ingredients into a crispy, cheesy, and delightfully messy creation.

The first time I made Crunch Wrap Supremes at home was during a particularly rainy weekend. Craving the comfort of my favorite drive-thru treat but not wanting to brave the elements, I decided to give this classic a homemade twist. The process was not only surprisingly easy but also immensely rewarding. The kitchen filled with the savory aroma of seasoned beef, melted cheese, and freshly cooked tortillas. The final result was a crispy, cheesy masterpiece that was even better than I remembered from my fast-food days. It became an instant family favorite, and I’ve since enjoyed making it for gatherings, weeknight dinners, and even as a fun cooking project with friends.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef (or your choice of protein)

1 packet taco seasoning mix

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup nacho cheese sauce

1 cup sour cream

6 large flour tortillas

6 tostada shells

Cooking spray or oil
Instructions
1. Cook the Ground Beef
Start by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon or spatula as it cooks. Continue to cook until the beef is fully browned and no longer pink, which should take about 7-10 minutes.

Once cooked, carefully drain any excess grease from the skillet. This step is important to avoid a greasy Crunch Wrap Supreme and to ensure that the flavors of the taco seasoning are absorbed properly.
2. Season the Beef
Stir in the taco seasoning mix. Follow the packet instructions for adding water or other ingredients if required. Generally, you’ll need to add a small amount of water to the seasoning mix to create a flavorful sauce that coats the beef.

Simmer the beef and seasoning mixture for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the seasoning is well incorporated and the mixture thickens slightly. This will enhance the flavor of the beef and make it even more delicious.
